Since at least one of readers is a Marilyn Horne fanatic like me, we’re gonna run with her.
audio Manuel de Falla’s “Siete Canciones Populares Españolas”. Marilyn Horne, mezzo-soprano. 1980. Duration: 15.37.
P.S. I’ve also included Tony Randall’s intro to the songs because (a) they’re informative and (b) they’re kinda campy.

Thanks Sue. Yeah, Jackie is one of my faves — and the first big STAR I ever saw on-stage. She has a special place in my heart. She also has a fabulous technique –we’re very lucky that she’s involving herself with up-and-coming singers.

that was a pleasure to be able to hear it again (especially after I lost a tape with these songs sang by fantastic Marilyn Horn) infortunately for some reason it is not possible to open the file at the moment and I would like to enjoy it for a while longer…
