Many thanks for the post… I wish I could still post on parterre, but the logging in stuff is a huge deterrent. I have too many logons as it is!

Love Crespin. She will be missed. The clips you have up are great.

Thank you so much. I was so lucky to have coached and performed Werther with Regine. She was the rare artist who lived passionately. This was in the 90’s and she smoked like a chimney. She had survived one cancer scare before then but was not quitting. I’ll never forget asking her all the stories of her past and she enjoying sharing the details. She treated me like a friend and I shall cherish my memories of her. By the way, in Werther rehearsals she would sing Charlotte down an octave, being lower than the tenor line. IT WAS SO FUN!
Thanks again for letting me share a bit of the Regine I know.

thanks Vincent. The Aida is from Mexico City (!), 1962. Vickers is the Radames, Belen Amparan is the Amneris, Nicola Rescigno is the conductor. I got my set from Berkshire Record Outlet — check the site to see if it’s still available. Glad u enjoyed it. Brava Regine!
